Episode 128   This week on the pod we talk to the wonderful Laurie McAllister about sobriety & mental health.    Laurie is a life and empowerment coach for sober and sober curious women, yoga teacher and writer of many things.  In 2016, she stopped drinking and turned her life around - she now supports other women to do the same through coaching, writing and marketing support for sober businesses. Relocating from London to Norfolk to Cambodia and back to Norfolk, Laurie believes we are all far more capable than we have been led to believe and we are all allowed to change our stories whenever we choose.  Behind the scenes she spends more time than she’d like to admit in her pyjamas and likes nothing more than a hot bath and a nice cup of mint tea. We loved talking to Laurie about the light and shade of sober living. The importance of talking about our mental health and healing from it. We talk about the difficulty in accessing services and how brilliant and vital it is to lean on the sober community for support whilst talking to your GP and getting the right support on board.
